Simple top level goal: remove or lessen the RNG out of Invention perk creation allowing easier moving of perks, and better telegraphing what Invention will do for you
Option 1: Make perks tradable on the GE.
Option 2: Give a higher chance of getting a specific perk for either a higher input cost (more mats) or an upgrade at the Invention guild similar to junk chance reductions
Just allow moving perks between weapons with a device
Invention needs to be learnt outside the game. Players can be told what perk to use for Woodcutting but don’t understand why.

Rewards include tie ins with necromancy like soul traps that hold lost souls you capture and can be used as a ritual focus item granting large amount of souls. Also the original rewards of cosmetic outfit, bone burner and ghostly essence.
