NECROMANCY - GENERAL
- Made several improvements to ritual random events:
- Added smoke clouds when spawning Wandering Soul and Corrupt Glyphs.
- Added passive audio to Soul Storm and Defile.
- Added spawn audio to Shambling Horror and Corrupt Glyphs.
- Added success audio to Shambling Horror, Corrupt Glyphs and Soul Storm.
- Added audio when the Defile Pool crackles.
- Increased the brightness of the Wandering Soul and Shambling Horror.
- Slowed down the speed of the Wandering Soul.
- Changed the pop-up text when clicking on the Shambling Horror to chatbox only.
- Tweaked the Shambling Horror so you can continue to guess on ritual components after failing, without having to reclick the Horror.
- Moved pop-up text from when random events spawn and despawn to appear over the random event, rather than in the middle of the screen.
- Improved 'funkiness' of forcewalk when completing random events.
- [Hotfixes: No more dropping items, resting, or placing hunter traps on the ritual site. Shambling Horror spawns green Green smoke over its target.]
- The Combat XP row in Runemetrics now includes Necromancy.
- Super Necromancy potion now uses 5 Congealed blood with a Spirit Weed Vial.
- Other players' pets will no longer be visible at the ritual site.
- Added a Bank PIN to the Ritual Chest.
- Updated Bart's examine: 'Must've met the Bart ender.'
- Conjured spirits will no longer forcefully close interfaces.
- Wandering Souls can be dismissed during Rituals when clicked without the need to click multiple times. You only need to click once!
- Added messaging that says how much of the focus object is left in the focus storage when used.
- The materials required to repair a ritual component are now listed in the error message.
- Added messaging when attempting to Repair All on a component you don't meet the level requirements to repair.
- The front two ritual light source spots have been moved, to clear a path between the ritual platform and the pedestal. Note that some of your light sources may now be in different places.
- Unavailable focus objects in the ritual selection interface now use a grey colouring, for higher contrast against the available focus objects.
- The fixed camera angle for the ritual site has been adjusted to give a better view of the components behind the pedestal.
- Added a new Bank preset name for 'Necromancy - Rituals'.
- The 'Are These Meant to Be Squishy?' medium City of Um area task has been renamed to 'Tis Merely a Flesh Rune'.
- Picked-up regular ashes will now be transported to Bank while wearing Tome of Um 1 or Tome of Um 2.
- Bonecrusher now triggers if activated while Tome of Um auto-storage is also active but the ritual storage is full.
NECROMANCY - COMBAT
- Targeting an NPC while using Necromancy and revolution will now prioritise using an ability over the basic attack.
- The Death Skulls ability will now correctly ready Death Spark when using the Death Essence special attack from the Omni Guard.
- Tier 70+ Death guard's special attack 'necrotic grasp' will no longer fail to cast on Kree'arra/aviansie.
- The Darkness incantation duration has been increased from 4m to 12m
- The rune cost has been increased to account for this. [20-35%, not tripled]
- The Darkness incantation will no longer be cleared when teleporting to certain locations.
- Reduced the Rune Cost of the 'Invoke Death' Incantation. [-50%]
- Bloat now has a 1.8 second tick time rather than 3 seconds.
- Made several changes to the Nihil summoning familiars:
- Updated the Ice Nihil to a Necromancy familiar (was previously magic).
- All familiar Nihils are now 112 combat.
- Fixed an issue with a missing accuracy modifier for Necromancy (players were unaffected by e.g. 'stagger').
- The Omni Guard passive effects maximum stacks have been reduced from 6 to 5.
- The Omni Guard special attack adrenaline cost has been reduced from 50% to 30%.
- Necromancy abilities can no longer benefit from the Greater Fury ability's critical strike buff.
GENERAL
- Melee, Ranged and Magic abilities can once again benefit from the Meteor Strike, Incendiary Shot and Tsunami abilities' adrenaline boosting buffs, but we are investigating more meaningful changes to these abilities that maintain value for experienced combat players and avoid unnecessary complexity for those less experienced.
- Using the Blood Reaver's special ability will no longer stall the player if they are in a combat stance.
- Due to an issue with account linking, the Prime Gaming package is moved to 30th August until 27th Sept.
- The Bonecrusher, the 'Death Note' Archaeology relic, and the tier 4 Fremennik Boots should now work correctly when used together.
- Genocidal no longer works while having a Slayer Wildcard in the Inventory and killing a monster that's not the current Slayer Task.
8/16 Skill & Chill Livestream
- Neat stats from release week!
- Zuk capes created in the first week: 20,857 capes
- Hermod died 545 times a minute on the sunday after skill release.
- 578 million bound skeletons summoned daily during the first week.
- 90.7 million lesser necroplasm traded on the GE each day of the first week.
- K’ril was killed 2,218,572 times in the first week
- Change to bloat & tons of ritual changes [This week’s patches]
- Laughing about the next reward tier of 100k souls. Literally stated that this is a joke.
- Monitoring boss drop rates and considering rebalancing common drop tables.
- Crit buffs visual glitch - they apply, you just can’t see them (Grim, Reaver’s Ring, Biting perk, etc).
- Remy exists.
- Extra talent points past 18 is a bug.
- Consumable storage pouches are planned in future content.

- Mod Ryan: “If there was ever a reason to have different ones, because one of them, let’s just say, off the top of my head, boosts your blood abilities to have it equipped, if you were to swap to one that boosts your soul abilities, you wouldn’t have to take runes out of it to put in the other one.”
- There is nothing set in stone, but it was strongly hinted that there may be multiple future necromantic focus objects, which we can attune to in place of the well of souls. Think Ancient magicks. These may have more restrictive choices in skill tree unlocks.
- Conjure adrenaline costs may change - considering reducing all summon costs to 0% adrenaline.
- Fun facts:
- Disturbances used to damage glyph durability.
- Rasial’s equipment will be the first dye-able hand and foot items.
- Overall, pretty much everything is subject to change balance-wise, and lots of emphasis on content to come, this was just the release, not ‘everything’.

- Death skulls changes - no longer goes nuclear, now targets smarter.
- Title gender changes - Lady of Chaos, Necrolady, the Lich Queen.
- Necrosis changes - investigating options for increased visibility,
- Changes to the platypus.

- Mainhand/offhand invention xp - buffing offhand to gain the same xp as mainhand.

- Cooldown will count from your first cast, so it will be available more often.

- On a day that is at least 9 days from the release date of this show, random events during rituals will be getting an xp nerf to some degree, current plan is 50%
- Protection glyphs will change, potentially to extend the length of random events.
- Transmutation will be added for mementos.
- Notification will be added when attempting to start a ritual with a depleted alteration glyph.
- Still considering rebalance on conjure cost.
- Conjure duration currently bugged to have a cap that is too low.
- Threads of fate changes- increased duration, among “some other stuff.”
