Ka Pai Shane

W00t episode 400, hey Trekkie and Mike,

What was your initial reaction to the 2007 servers? Would you be willing to play $15 a month to go back to the past!?

Anyways....i died a little inside and cried my self to sleep when i realized he was in NZ (woohoo!) and he didn't organize an rsbandb nz meet up. We should have an rsbandb meetup sometime..oh wait shane will probably never come to nz again ;-( .On a lighter note OMG GZ ON 400 im looking forward to 500.

Love from Ka Pai

Undoer Trekkie

Hello Trekkie and Mike,

First of all, congratulations on the 400th episode it's too bad that Shane isn't here to celebrate this wonderful milestone as well.

Secondly, I'm still relatively new to Player Owned Ports (POP) as I'm only up to the Black Slate missions now. So my question to you is about POP efficiency when unlocking new islands. I believe the most efficient way would be to buy 3 of each Morale, Combat and Seafaring crew members then start working on buying the ship upgrades Deck items first, Hull then Figurehead, I then buy another 3 of each Crew members leaving me with 6 of each Stat in Crew. After that I buy all the building upgrades, then finally purchase the Rudder for the Ship. Do you think this is efficient? Is there any tips/pointers you could give to improve efficiency?

Thirdly, did you all have a nice Valentines Day? Mine was amazing, I reached one of my goals (99 Farming) and went on a lovely dinner with my best-friend, because we're both single. I bought her some Roses, which she really appreciated, ain't I just a sweetheart? haha.

Yours truly, Undoer.

Hi Guys

Congratulations on #400!! Pity Shane isn't there to celebrate with you. My question this week concerns the vote for the 2007 servers. I believe this will be detrimental to the current game in the short term. People have been complaining forever about this, and while I can understand the PKing community feeling harshly done by, all games have to progress and evolve to stay current and draw in new memberships. I think Jagex are treading on very dangerous ground here. Why can't they develop a section in the wilderness where players can only use weapons and armour used from that era? I know that would take a lot of development time, but I don't think it would hurt the game like re-opening an old server would. Or create some sort of new mini-game for it. While initially they may get many people loggin        g onto that server for nostalgic reasons, I can't see the majority staying with it for much longer than 6 months. I would like to hear your opinions on this. Also, do you think it is right that Jagex haven't included a "NO" vote option to this? I think this would truly allow them to see where the community stands.

Hope you are all well, and happy RSing

Heya host's,

Congrats on your 400th episode (I remember the 100th, 200th and 300th, this is quite a milestone)! Long time no speak, but I'll ask a question that is obviously going to be asked alot: what's your opinion on the 2007 servers? I am personally excited that they have offered it, although it's not guaranteed. My personal opinion is that they should see what F2P players are interested and let them have a say in, and if they do have a say in, they should make some sort of pledge to pay the required costs if the servers are needed to be paid for, even for the F2P portions. I will gladly pay each month to be on the 2007 servers, although $15 is a bit steep, and I do under the business perspective but RS isn't worth THAT much to me.
