Audio Question from Rune Reav3r
Question from Ring
Dear hosts of awesomebandb:
What do you think about the recently unvailed Dish innovation that allows users to automatically skip over commercials, and the fact that they are now being sued over it? Do you think the people who I call "old media _______________" are justified on their outlash at dish's innovation. Moreover, do you think commercial skipping is wrong? Same with ad blocking?
Also Shane: I have a legal question for you: It is well known that using a DVR for "time shifting" is legal, non infringing use. But, is it still non-infringing use if you watch said time shifted program more than once? If not, do you think DVR/PVR providers will be required to implement a "1 play only" and "no commercial skip" in the near future? Personally I can see 2 work arounds for this: 1 being that if the show is not fully played, leaving 0:0001 for example, it would be not infringing. And 2 being that you are simply time shifting to multiple slots of time.
Let me know what you think, it was the most thought provoking and somewhat-interesting question I could think of.
With honey and love from Firering401..
P.S: I would like to publicly apologize for mentioning that gold selling site on runewire, to everybody in the community. I did not know it was even an existing site, I only stated it on runewire because I fell for the instant mute trick, and I assumed others would get the joke and enjoy in it.
Question from Duke Juker
Hello Gentle-mentle men,
Four questions.
1. Who do you consider to be the greatest RS player or all time (and by greatest I mean best, not necessarily the most popular)?
2. If you wanted to remove one item from Runescape, what would it be and why?
3. What is the ideal career or job you would like to have in the future?
