Question from Jmycenae
Dear hosts,
Do you believe Jagex will fix the nonsensical price issue relating to the shield left half? It is a very rare drop, with a value of only about 65k. To buy the shield right half you have to spend 750k. Smithing them together certainly does not give enough xp to make the expense worthwhile. And then the end result is that you are left with a dragon square shield which is only worth about 300k. I am trying to decide whether to alch the left half I just obtained, or hang on to it in the hope that the price of the right half will be adjusted.
Have you found other items with prices so seriously out of whack?
Thanks for your thoughts,
Jmycenae

Dear Hosts (mostly Shane)
Recently I've taken us herb farming for some extra cash. I'm doing avantoe seeds because they're a good profit, but for My Arm's patch I've been doing snapdragon. Even though they don't get diseased, I don't get enough herbs from there to make it a good profit. Is it worth it to continue using snapdragon, and would you recommend using another herb?
Thanks for the show,
Majyk1 (pronounced magic1)
Question from Metalmaniac9
Dear Shane and mystery guest,
My country, Belgium, is a bit similar to Canada in the aspect that we both have 2 big communities that speak different languages.
For Canada it's English and French and for us Flemish and French as well.
To be clear, Flemish is to Dutch what American is to English.
Having different communities in a country can lead to problems and that's exactly what's happening in my country right now.
In June of 2010 we had our last federal election, which happened because the governement fell over an electoral district separation issue.
The thing is, in Flanders we can't vote on Wallonian parties and in Wallonia they can't vote on Flemish parties.
In Brussels you can vote for all parties though.
And that's pretty much what that electoral district issue was about, the French being able to vote for Wallonian parties in Flanders.
But it is a highly complicated matter so I won't go into detail.
Anyway, now almost 1 year later we are still waiting for the formation of the governement.
The problem is that the biggest party in Wallonia is the left-winged Parti Socialiste (Socialist Party) and the biggest one in Flanders is the right-winged Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie (New Flemish Alliance).
Like most countries in Europe we have debts so we have to cut some spendings.
Therefor a big change is required in how the Belgian econimic system works, and both parties know that, but because they're so different from each other they can't form an agreement.
It's not just the economic system that needs big changes, but also immigration, health-care and so on.
On every different issue both parties disagree with one another.
And now the situation is stagnant and will probably be so for some times.
So, I've been a wondering...
How is the political situation in Canada between the English and French parties?
Is there a federal governement or just regional ones?
Are there mixed parties or just French parties and English parties?
Are you able to vote on French parties?
Did Canada have any issues of the sort Belgium has right now?
Sorry for the big explanation and many questions.
Keep up the magnificent podcast!
Thank you very much,
MetalManiac9

Question from The Ger Man
Hello Shane!
Trivial (I beleive that is the word for it) question this week. What do you think will be the main idea of the biggest Runescape update this year? Also, on a sporty note, Bayern München (or, in English, Munich) recently beat St. Pauli 8-1 in the Bundesliga, which brings me to the second question. What is the biggest scoreline that you can remember, from any sport?
Danke!
