Question from Jeki

Dear Shane and Chief Snake

If Runescape was mentioned amongst you and your friends do you openly mention that you play it?

Note: We discussed wiki leaks last week.

Thanks as always,
Jeki

Question from Doglvr36

Dear Shane and Cheif,

As you may or may not have discussed the new dev blog about clans, I will ask anyway. Do you think it will turn more like guilds in other games? Any other ideas?

Also Do you think you will start having people who play runescape, a little more often than you two, on the show more? as it seems you have both not touched the update or just looked over it. The main reason I started to listen was to find more about updates.

Thanks
Doglvr36/ Aged Chaotic ingame.

Intel and AMD sign death warrant for VGA port

Rival processor makers Intel and AMD may not agree on much, but they are of one mind about the future of the venerable VGA graphics port: it doesn't have one. The two chipmakers are joined by Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, and LG in an industry-spanning agreement to phase out VGA entirely by 2015, and to standardize solely on HDMI and DisplayPort.

"DisplayPort and HDMI allow for slimmer laptop designs, and support higher resolutions with deeper color than VGA—a technology which is more than 20 years old," the companies wrote in a joint press release. "Additionally, as laptops get smaller and their embedded flat panel resolutions increase for more immersive experiences, the power advantages, bidirectional communications and design efficiency benefits of DisplayPort make it a superior choice over LVDS, the previous standard for LCD panel inputs."

Report: iPad 2 to ship next February

The next version of iPad is reportedly expected to ship as soon as the end of February.

Component makers in Taiwan say Foxconn--a key maker of iPhones and iPads--has been notified that it should be ready to ship 400,000 to 600,000 units of the next version of iPad in the next 100 days, according to a DigiTimes report. Taiwan-based Foxconn reportedly declined to comment.

DigiTimes reported that Apple had originally expected to begin mass production of the unofficially dubbed iPad 2 in January, but Apple postponed that schedule because the device's firmware is still undergoing testing.
